Parent Evening

Thank you to all the parents who came out to our parent evening last night. We had such a great turn out of families and felt very encourage around the feedback from the evening. If you weren't able to make it or would like a reminder of the things we talked about I have included the slideshow from the evening below.

Showcase Time: Projects

Today we were invited down to the Secondary School to see some of their project learning they have been doing around safety in an emergency. The kapa haka group performed (it was great to see and hear lots of LC2 children in this group). Our learners got to explore basketball, food and having a ride on a pony. Thanks secondary school we had lots of fun!

ART What do you think art is? In my opinion art is something that you put together to tell you something or something or something that you creat. You know what it can even be made out of RUBBISH ! Out of books,films. I don't think it's just about drawing and painting. So that's what I think art is. (It's the stuff from my book)

Does art have to make sense? No it does not have to make sense. Art can be very confusing at first but when you look at it more closely you can understand it. For instance Picasso's art was very unusual. Take a look at Picasso's work I drew myself. So remember art can be from anybody and everybody so it does not need to make sense.
